How we help Camp Quality

UNIGAS is a proud supporter of Camp Quality, a wonderful non-profit organisation committed to bringing hope and happiness to every child living with cancer, and to their families and communities.

Through recreational, educational, hospital and financial support programs, more than 5000 families are helped each year. They participate in camps and other activities. Nationally, there about 220 camps and fun activities held in Australia each year.

UNIGAS is pleased to be involved with these fundraising events for Camp Quality:

esCarpade

The annual esCarpade is a seven-day Outback motoring adventure that raises about $700,000 for Camp Quality. UNIGAS supplied two Ford Territory 4WDs as medical support vehicles for the 2006 esCarpade, worth about $30,000.

esCarpade 2006 took place despite drought, fuel prices and the patchy economy because ordinary people heard the appeal by country music star Lee Kernaghan, or heard it through the grapevine, and responded.

In 15 years, esCarpade has covered about 45,000km and visited 200 towns. More than 1850 entrants have taken part, helped by 320 officials - and millions of dollars has been raised.

Camp Quality CEO Simon Rountree says: "UNIGAS and our other friends have banded together to get us on the road with a new confidence that brings out the best in people."

Charity Golf Day

UNIGAS raised an amazing $35,000 for Camp Quality children at our annual Charity Golf Day in 2006.

The day was held at the picturesque Horizons Golf Course in Port Stephens, New South Wales, and UNIGAS will be bringing out the golf clubs for a big event again this year.

Chandon Supper Club

Chandon Supper Club is the hottest ticket on the social calendar - a unique fundraising experience marrying fine wines, intimate dinners, secret destinations, glamour, a big party and a generous serving of pure fun and energy.

UNIGAS looks forward to joining the event again in 2007 by taking a table in each state to boost Camp Quality's funds by $30,000.

Camp Quality first partnered with Domaine Chandon in 2004 to bring the Chandon Supper Club to Sydney after success of a similar concept in London. The inaugural supper set a benchmark for fundraising events in Australia and has continued to grow in popularity, with six capital cities hosting the event in 2006.

The event embodies Camp Quality's philosophy that 'Laughter is the best medicine' and aims to raise close to $900,000 to support children living with cancer.
